There are a few ways you can personally become involved with the Yankee Air Museum and the Willow Run Documentary. Find out how you can become a museum member or volunteer HERE. ON-CAMERA INTERVIEWS

The Yankee Air Museum has an ongoing mission of preserving the history of aviation and science, as well as educational outreach to teach and promote science and technology. One of the programs that help preserve history is their Oral History Project. If you, or someone you know, have a personal story that is related directly to Willow Run, from 1940 – 1946, please contact David Peterson by calling 734-649-0067, or emailing davidpeterson@stonebridgeprods.com. Imagine being in the same film as author Charles K. Hyde, Judy Knudsen Christie (granddaughter of William Knudsen), and some of the “Rosies” that worked there during the war, like Marion Gentz!

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THE DOCUMENTARY

The Yankee Air Museum is raising $300,000 for this 90-minute documentary film project titled “Willow Run,” produced by Stone Bridge Productions. If you are able to support this project financially, you may make your TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION HERE. Willow Run will be broadcast on national PBS stations, screened at numerous film festivals, and available on DVD at the museum. The DVD will feature the full-length documentary with bonus features. PBS will initially air a shorter 60-minute version. Yankee Air Museum will also make a 30-minute version available for educational and community outreach screening opportunities. Through your generous support the story of this national treasure will be told… and made available for many generations to come!

All giving levels will be given credit in the titles at the end of the film. Donations may be designated in Honor or in Memory of a loved one. Giving levels will be credited as follows (or as designated by contributor):

  • $10,000 – Individual opening title and spoken narration at beginning of film, “Significant Contribution provided by…”
  • $5,000 – Group opening title and spoken narration at beginning of film, “Other contributions provided by…”
  • $1,000 – End Title, “Five Star Contributors:”
  • $500 – End Title, “Four Star Contributors:”
  • $100 – End Title, “Three Star Contributors:”
